Picked up Virus Unliimited for $24. No brainer.


divine source, MD3 and Brickwall are my favorite dynamic plugs! Definitely worth it especially at that price.

im getting the mastering plugs and virus. hopefully the resale value is not bad. plus the firewire is not that powerful. im also not too keen on the poco not having 64 bit plugins AU. and hope the bit bridge in logic doesnt get too unstable with the poco.

do you have a poco id?
I wanna get a couple of plugins,like the MD3 and Nonlin, but I dont have the hardware. Planning to get one later on.

So i can straight jump to MD3\Brickwall ? from what im reading hear, everyone super happy from these plugs...
And what about the Master X5 ? is it worth getting it if i'll buy the MD3\Brickwall (and already having Master X3) ?

I sold all my POCO plugins some time ago, but I really hope they're working on native versions. I dearly miss some of them. I can't believe they're just going to drown them into oblivion.

yes, so this could be an invesntment if those are not ported and the sale is so cheap.

or it could be a bad investment if they go native and poco hardware is not working with maverick. snow lion?

The NonLin and the VSS are 2 totally different beasts. The NonLin (Non-Linear) reverb is fantastic for early-reflections (hard smacks on snares) and gated effects. I know of no other plugin that even comes remotely close. I love it on vocals too, to get a 3d ambience sound but keeping it dry.

An absolute must for me.

......by the way, yesterday I finished putting together my new computer:
i7 3770 CPU with a Gigabyte MB and 256MD SSD.
I have one UAD2 Duo card, One UAD2 Satellite Quad with a Powercore PCI and the Powercore FW. All is working perfectly well on a Windows 7 64 bit system. This is another confirmation that I will not have to worry about not being able to use my PCore for quite some time Yay!

I just bought a bunch of powercore plug ins before they head into oblivion. I've never been so uneasy spending a fairly large amount of money, it just feels weird spendng this much on a discontinued system, but I really do love the plug ins.

My plan is to keep my Powercore FW plugged into my old G5 and access it through Vienna Ensemble. Hopefully that will let me use it much longer and not be so effected by newer Mac OS on my main computer.

Same here, the plug-ins are so unique that I just have to use them. I will make sure to have a computer with a Windows system running that PoCo works on, no matter what future OS I will use on my main computer.

I also got two TC Reverb 4000 units running @ 96kHz connected via analogue I/O. Over ten years old but still fantastic sounding. I've compared the algorithms to the PoCo algos and the DVR2, NonLin2 and VSS3 algorithms sounds even better on R4000. The NonLin2 algorithm on R4000 is just mental and the VSS4 and Rev 4 algorithms are great too.

For big and bright reverbs/spaces TC is still the best me thinks.

Also, I like using plug-ins not available to the average bedroom laptop jockey, and a reason why I still use hardware synths and outboard.

i was thinking the same with analog syths as well. it creates character not found on torrent K' synths

Picked up MD3\Brickwall and Nonlin2, couldn't resist the prices...

Whatever happen in the future with support\drivers, i will always make sure to have old system around, so i can run PoCo!!



PS - can someone plz verify if there is a problem with PoCo and OSX 10.8 (mountain Lion) , im gonna order new MacMini after the weekend, and i dont think i can install other OSX except 10.8...

I just Bought MD3/Brickwall Limiter / SS3 DVR2 / Non Lim2 / Plate reverb ... irresistible...much better than my UAD ...

I picked up VSS3, DVR2, CL 1B and Tap Factory. So pleased with them. Still a lot of money though...

So glad I picked up VSS3, I have all the M3000 presets and it works very well on Mountain Lion 10.8.0 and in Pro Tools 10. Idk how it runs on any higher version of OSX.
