Are there really no good harmonizer plugins for the mac?

It seems that any searches I do for harmonizer & plugins, bring up questions for years ago with still unanswered questions.

So it's 2011, is there still not a good mac AU/VST plugin harmonizer that recalls the hardware boxes of old?

Use two pitch shifting plug ins which you can find in every modern DAW.
Set one -2 cents one +2 cents pan one hard right one hard left and send the tracks you want to be harmonized thorough it.

As far as I know eventide just patented this fact with the name Harmonizer.

Probably the best bet for creative effects would be Waves Ultrapitch. It's included in many of their bundles and can also be bought separately (they just lowered their prices on everything).

You might also check out Amplitube 3. Even if you don't use the amps, the effects alone are excellent, both stomp and rack versions, including pitch shifters. You can use it on vocals, or anything else.

You might also look at Soundtoys Native Effects. This company was founded by guys who used to work for Eventide and they have some unique stuff.

I don't know what effect you are after, but have you seen this?

I actually use the Waves Doubler plugin for this. I like it a lot, and I used to use a hardware Eventide H3500 back in the day.

Check it out. It's good.

don't forget to dup your tracks and use elastic audio ..
no plug-ins required.

Thanks 83dude. Heard a lot of good things about the iZotope stuff but have yet to try them out - looks like a Nectar demo is in order!

The Soundtoys Little Microshift and Microshift plugins are great. These plugins were not around 3.5 years ago. They are of more recent origin. Little Microshift was released in March 2013.
