Any clips featuring the SATV?

Checked the demo out today...WOW! Very different from the other saturation plugins I have tried. Different and imho better sounding! I like it a lot!

Still a problem here with downloading the demo version
all I get is "Internal Server Error" for all plugins.

???

I bought this and then discovered, to my sadness, that it does indeed crash Digital Performer. (I'm on DP7.12.)

Sadness. Paid for it. Can't use it.

Please correct this problem!

Hmm, I really want to like this plugin but it seems to mess with phase. Doesn't click with my workflow because I use alot parallell busses. Anyone else experience this? I'm using Reaper ons osx

Is the demo still working on a 'timed dropout' method? If so, are those dropouts syncronized with all instances of the plug, or are the dropouts simply based on when each individual plugin was instantiated?

Check the post on our forum: , it turns out you need to tick a setting in FL9s processing settings tab
in order for SATV to pass audio. Need to dig deeper to see why it behaves differently to other DAWs.

98% of the time I use Logic, but I'm working in PT this week; when I tried instanciating 1.2 today in PT I got a DAE error and the plug wouldn't load. This is in LE 8.0.3.

That's been addressed - Please download and install SATV 1.2 again.
The first installer that was put up on Nov 1st caused problems in PT - a revised version has been uploaded.

This would be useful, since for me SATV really showed its strength on a drum group with multiple instances; one on every individual drum track. It really gels all the tracks together, which isn't so obvious if you listen to one track at a time in isolation.

The Group-feature that lets you choose between; Transistor, Transformer, Tube and Tape for all tracks at the flick of a switch is pretty cool! I've recently been looking at Nebula3 Pro ($119) + AlexB Preamp Color Suite PRO ($20) and Universal Audio UAD Studer A800 Multichannel tape recorder ($349), but considering price, CPU consumption & workflow the SATV ($99) certainly has something to offer here.

Now when can we expect that Special Holiday Price...?

I just thought I would drop in to say excellent work on this plug. It really seems to add harmonic detail without muddying the signal. This is the first time I have been able to say that about a plug in.

I believe that is my first use of an emoticon. There, I am emoting now.

So far, I am thinking this is more of tool for enhancing important tracks or the last plug on busses, rather than using it as a virtual console or tape machine. It seems almost too hi-fi to use on every track to me. We'll see though. Maybe when I get a more powerful computer this will kick Analog Channel out of the first slot.

Has anyone A-Bed this with UAD's Studer A800? Just curious--thanks.

I am sorry to bump this so long later but i have finally demoed this plugin and it has literally blown me away! Why doesn't this dev get more recognition around here?

Particularly the tape, just the right tough without being overbearing. Love it! Tames some nasty transients in a vocal without sounding over compressed ..

Gotta agree - under-rated plugs of a much higher quality than their price belies. SATV gets plenty of use around here and now with the new Channel saturation and compressor, I think I'll be grabbing the discounted updater to complete the "Vintage" collection.

Funny you ask. I was just shooting out the tube mode with Klanghelm's SDRR this morning on a guitar track. Different, but equal in the broad sense. Both add realistic complexity and excitement. SDRR is deeper and more flexible, so it might be more useful in the long run. I actually ended up using Plug n' Mix Analoger (which I don't use much) because it sat in the track perfectly.

I still use SATV on every mix. I probably use all the modes about equally. I tend to do 100% wet with low drive, just to get things to pop or sit differently. Still one of my first grabs.

I also use Airwindows ToTape3 (now 4), Slate VCC and VTM, Decapitator, Radiator, Magnetic II, Trash II...demoing Satin and digging it.. It's nice to have so many solid saturation options ITB. When I decide to really grind something up though I still reamp through stomp boxes and amps.

What kind of music do you do mostly lobsterinn?
I already have Nebula, VCC, tapehead, little radiator, and a few others that I can't remember now...
I'll buy SDRR and I'm thinking about getting something else too, but not sure if I'll go SATV or something else...

I'm mostly doing rock, folk, and some electronic stuff. Still digging into SDRR so I can't really say if SATV would be the best compliment. SDRR is sooo tweakable... I'd demo it and see what you think. I'm really enjoying Satin. You might want to give that a shot too.
