M box pro3 to Scarlett 3rd gen?

I have a dilemma :
I have a Mbox pro 3 but I'm upgrading my computer to a mac m4. It doesn't have a Firewire connection, to be able to use it I would have to buy Thunderbolt connectors, the cost would be at least around 120€.

For 180€ I can buy a new Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3rd gen, it has the usb c connection for the Mac.
Would the Scarlett be a step up from the Mbox?
Are the pre's better?
Are the converters better?

I *think* FW support has been dropped from M4 macs, so you don't really have a choice - thunderbolt adaptors won't exist or work for you.

Nothing wrong with the Scarlett for a 180euro device - it's great value for money! Will you notice any difference in the pres or conversion? I dunno, aside from new-toy-feeling. Check out the gain ranges, if the Scarlett has better gain ratings, you might notice less noise at high settings.
