Plugin(s) for creating robot voice FX from human vox?

I have a gig which requires robotic voices. Not beeps and bloops but human voices, digitized and turned robotic. I'm using a couple from SoundToys and Eventide as well as Excalibur, and they're fine, but still looking for additional options.

Which plugins do you like for this?

Zynaptiq MORPH. Better vocoder than actual vocoders.

I did notice yesterday that VocalSynth2 was on sale so I grabbed it. It's solid and relatively good though not (yet) blowing me away.

Just to clarify, I'm not so much looking for retro voice synthesizers -- more of the futuristic stuff. Star Wars droids.

I think accusonus has something for this although I haven’t tried it and it’s subscription only. However if you’re only needing for one project might be a good option.

I did check out Voice Changer. In that thread, people were pretty hard on the company, so I was hesitant to invest. And examples have been scant. But the subscription model doesn't work for me. I could use it for its demo period but I often have to revisit session further down the road and it wouldn't open after the demo expires.

So far, a combination of Little AlterBoy and Eventide's Physion have been interesting. I'm still not quite getting that broken-up degradation that I'm hoping for. I do appreciate the suggestions so far.

When, I think the seventies, Star Wars, degraded voices, I think of the Death Star attack. There's a lot of short wave radio interference style communications effects. They sounded a lot like they were processed with an Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer, which I guess is a ring modulator.

I have the style from the first three Star Wars movies pretty well covered (the ring mod), it's the later droids (later in their release date, not the story's timeline) I'm looking for.

I think Waves Ovox will do what you want. There are an endless amount of presets which, for whatever reasons, are not organized in alphabetical order and it is incredibly annoying but otherwise, it is great.
