I got the source code for Linux, that someone made, but I haven't found the time to port that, or use as a base for a new driver. Probably easier to just get something else, even if it would have been fun.
Cool, yeah, sorry, I don't mean to confuse the two products (Alpha Track and Faderport OG) (I was talking about the OG Faderport, not the Alpha Track in regards to drivers available for apple silicon or whatnot, but I realized you were on a different path on your comments on that, and my confusion, so realized I was probably bothering the wrong person

)...
Yeah, the OG Faderport worked great on my 5,1's and intel machines, and I haven't tried it on my new m series Mac etc... or newer macOS's... and so wasn't sure if you or anyone else in this thread knew the state of that as their website shows a different product and I admittedly didn't dig deep, so that's on me...)..
But yeah, if you are talking in regards to the Alpha Track and having a linux driver etc and dealing with porting that over... I'm with you brother... (at the very least I know I'd rather spend a $100 elsewhere if I needed it rather then the time porting, but then again, sometimes stubbornness gets in the way of that and will try... but I'm stupid like that..)
Generally, given the original question on this thread, or point of it... I've just learned, or rather, due to lifestyle and current nomad nature... f' it.... I just deal with what I got... and honestly I'm fine pretty much with regular interface outside of the fact I really like and travel with one of my 2003 or whatever Kensington trackball pro's or whatever, as they just are fast and accurate for audio work for me...
