Looks pretty awesome, NAMM is starting to draw me in. I am curious about the range on this one, but it's cool to see a new mono that isn't just a repeat of old formulas.

Nice! I think they're smart to do this. It will allow people who are hesitant of modular to go this route, but you know if you start to feel a little constrained and want to expaaaannnnd.... it'll cost ya

I think so too. At the very least it'll get the folks who drooled over the shared system, then looked at their bank account

Am I crazy or does this thing not have a filter? Anyone else find that kind of weird?

It has a kind of Low Pass Gate which acts a little like a filter, but this is more like a tiny Music Easel than say the Mother-32.

Make noise doesn't really make traditional filters, they make low pass gates, which are a Buchla concept somewhere between a vca and filter.

It's "ZERO" Coast aka West coast aka Bulcha aka start with a sin wave and add harmonics rather than removing them with a VCF.

This looks pretty rad. Paired with a Mother-32 it seems like you'd have a great setup to work with and expand upon if you wanted to jump full into eurorack. I'll see if I can get some video tomorrow.

This unit has a triangle core oscillator with triangle and square waves

I think this and a Mother 32 would make a cool pairing. A mix of east and west cost voices in a powerful compact semi modular set up.

yes you could but I don't own anything portable, just an analog keys and a giant 5 octave Roland Rompler, with a A01 and this, you could put one in each pocket of a jacket and head off to work, awesome portability..

Make Noise is currently my favorite synth manufacturer but, I think there's going to be a lot of these for sale used when buyers realize it's not a Moog. If this had been available when I first started eurorack, I probably could have saved a ton of money.

If they also release a standalone controller touch keyboard with sequencer then you could basically have a Music Easel for $1 or so.

Tonys explanation in the Sonic State video was enough for me. Bulky and clunky. I suspect quite a few people will be using CV anyways.

I like it, does not jump to the front of the line. When I watched both of the videos I thought cool $399I start to gas, $499 not as much. I can wait a year for this on the used market. I find it funny how we all have it's worth this to me and now more.

yeah this is stupid admittedly, the amount of space they save compared to the mini jack surrounds is minuscule, and just the thought of any type of cable adapters in production makes me cringe...hate them with a passion..

I think it's a fair judgment call. I feel the branding is playing a significant role, like some Moog products.
