IK T-Racks here. It's got everything covered, and with mojo if needed - or sterile cleanliness if that's what's needed. If you can't do it with that stuff, then you need to revisit the concept of mastering.

Flux Pure Limiter V3 is going for cheap (less than 60 bucks) at some retailers.

Is it worth it?

I still like it for puristic acoustic material with fastest settings. For achieving loudness and denser material there are better one out there; fabfilter, elephant...

I've just been A/B ing Pure vs Elixir from Flux and in my opinion the Elixir is way easier to setup and has a nicer sound over all. The difference is small and on some materials it was really really close.

Bottom line I could get Pure to sound close, but changing material, time after time I could get consistently better and faster results with Elixir.

I would wait for Elixir to go on sale (82$ usually when on sale).

Other thing I am pondering is to get Solera V3 with Epure V3 as well as both limiters (Pure was better in one scenario than Elixir and it has that display like Pro-L so it wouldn't be useless) for 325$ as part as their mastering bundle.

IMO Epure is a really really nice EQ and I could get crazy dynamic results with Solera.


I have their Ircam studio bundle and I love those plugins (especially Verb) although I had some really mixed results with their Trax plugin, over the years I could pull of some crazy voice transformations that wouldn't be possible otherwise. So you can't really go wrong with Flux.

I ended up not getting it because of stability problems. Gonna keep my eye on the Elixir deal.
