My Thoughts on the Audeze MM-100 Headphones

I recently picked up the Audeze MM-100s, and I have to say—they offer insane value, especially when paired with proper EQ adjustments. These headphones have quickly become an essential tool in my setup.

EQ: The Game-Changer
I discovered a fantastic Reddit community that uses professional-grade measurement equipment to analyze headphones. They provide EQ settings to tune headphones to the Harman Target Curve, which is widely regarded as a gold standard for accurate sound reproduction.

The Results
After applying these settings, the difference was night and day. The MM-100s now let me easily fine-tune low-end frequencies, like 30Hz, with incredible precision. This capability has had an immediate and noticeable impact on my mixes.

Even with a treated room and excellent monitors (Yamaha NS10s and Focal Trios), these headphones help me dial in those final, crucial details in my work.

My Setup
For system-wide audio processing, I use Sonnox ListenHub. This tool allows me to apply EQ across all audio outputs, not just within my DAW. To implement the EQ curves, I rely on FabFilter Pro-Q 4.

Important Tip for FabFilter Users

Why I Recommend the MM-100s
It's true what they say about planar headphones, They really do go down to roughly 20hz and they're SUPER clean and detailed.. for this price the Audeze MM-100s are an incredible value.

I tried this out with Sound Source and ran FF Q3 (with the Q adjustments) on my Output

I gotta say, it's far more natural sounding and pleasant.

My only gripe is that the imaging feels a little dull now. Maybe it was too hyped before, I dunno, I don't know what super A-class headphones are supposed to sound like
