Okay so I reallllllly need to upgrade my drum tracking converters. I have been using an RME ADI for drums and scratch stuff and I just can't take it anymore.

I don't have a ton of cash (I know, who does) so I am thinking of picking up an older Apogee AD16 and clocking it with my HEDD 192.

The question is if I clock the AD16 with the HEDD is it usable?? I know people seem to hate the AD16 but I am just not sure if it is worth the $1000 or $1500 to get the AD16X especially as I will be using the HEDD 192 for all overdubs and clocking.

I should also mention that I don't care about high sample rates, 44.1, 48 is fine. At some point I might maybe could do 96 but that is not important to me right now.

Any ideas out there???
