I ended up purchasing a pre-owned 2448!
Excited to get it to my studio, it's unloaded so the next order of business will be to figure out what kind of EQ to buy....opinions welcome!

The 560 graphic, 550A (3 band) and 550B (4 band) are all different. We've been using the graphic and 3 band eqs for years for different things. Looking forward to adding the 4 bands to our setup also. You could get a general feel for them via some software plugins.
Congratz!! looks like a very nice and useful desk!
regarding the eq's I'd suggest to check out the Avedis E12G for your graphics.. these are next level (when you need a graphic eq).
Other pieces you should look at, other than api 550a's which are a great classic for a reason:
- Avedis E27, nice and punchy, electric/alive feel, everything sounds better just passing through it. Future Classic!
- Avedis E12G (mentioned above): a very βneutralβ, in the sense that doesnβt screw your signal, svelte, very fast operating 12 band graphic eq. GREAT sounding as everything Avedis makes..another future classic!
- Pulse Technique EQP-1 500x itβs a solid state pultec using a 2520 api opamp.. itβs a fantastic sounding unit.. highly raccommended.
- Electrodyne 511A (or now apparently thereβs also a b version with much more frequency points!!) itβs a 2 band eq, very simple and limited, but great for boosting the topend.. that 10k sounds like GOLD.. incredibly nice!
- Crane Song Insigna: itβs a very smooth and βsoftβ sounding tube based eq.. very very classy.. it reminds me of the smoothness of a manley Massive Passive.. great for curing hardness with class, without having the feel that the material will be eqβd..and the filters are also very nice to have.. if you could find a pair, I'd get them.
I hope this helps somehow and doesn't derail the thread too much..
