There's no denying the mid range is slightly more detailed on the 25's, but compared to other speakers, the sound is very similar. It makes sense why 25's have a better low end and low mids, but in terms of what's shown in the upper mids (all the hard stuff you'd want to get rid of) they expose the same things. Lots of people say when they switch to 25's they're shocked at how their mixes don't hold up and they can hear so many errors they haven't heard on their old speakers. I (luckily) haven't had that issue, most of my old mixes are holding up great on the 25's, and I'm guessing because of the mid range work I was able to do on the Results. Don't confuse what some people call "bright" as actually being detailed. Room plays a big part in all of this so your decision to demo first is very smart. I've had my Results in 3 different rooms and they definitely sounded at their best in the better rooms.

I can't say enough good things about the Neumann/Result/NS10 system. I'm actually second guessing why I'm getting ATC's I think like I said earlier I personally just didn't enjoy the process of getting there, and the ATC's will allow me to skip some steps and switching back and forth. But the more I'm listening to the 25's and Results the more I'm blown away at how much the little PMC's hold their weight.

The kh750 also correct the phase for the Neumann analog monitors while using the analog outputs (only). They told me if I wanna use two kh750 in a stereo setup I should use a Y split cable for dual mono subs. Done some interesting comparisons between Genelec and ATC subs a few years back and the Genelecs were much more accurate. ATC nearfields are great though, particularly for transients. Not keen on the new Genelec models with the curved shape either.

Funny, I've been on my ATC's for a few weeks now and yesterday had a session at Blackbird here in Nashville that had a pair of 8050's (I think - the 8 inch curved) and I hated them. So harsh in the upper mids. My old room had 8050's with the Genelec sub and it was impossible for me to really judge bottom end. The room was designed by Fran Manzella so acoustically it was fantastic. I think for me personally I just never really loved the curved Genelec sound either. I much preferred 1031's. No experience here with ATC subs so very interesting you preferred the Gene's over them!

I would skip the Neumanns DSP if I would like to use two subs (probably will do it later this year anyway). Right now I'm using KH310 + miniDSP Studio SHD with Dirac room correction, but this unit is much more than that. It can work as a crossover as well, it has stereo input and 4 channel output, so it will be easy to integrate it with stereo subs + room correction. There are 4 slots for presets, a remote to control it, so you could do a preset with unflitered KH310 and no sub, another with a sub, one for focused listening etc. Possibilities are endless

Because it's a bass reflex design and don't work as good in nearfield if needed. Also more expensive than KH310 x 2 + KH750 x 2. I work everyday with KH310 as nearfields, but when I record a band and 5 people come to my control room to listen to a take, they are listening further away like in midfield.
