Is a dynamic equalizer an EQ or a compressor? The answer is yes and more! By being able to select certain frequency ranges and compress or expand them, a dynamic EQ allows you to both adjust frequencies like an EQ and control dynamics like a compressor. It also allows you to control how these frequencies and dynamics interact. In addition to providing powerful and flexible control over levels within certain frequencies, the bx_dynEQ V2 adds M/S processing capabilities so you can separately adjust your Mid and Side signals. The bx_dynEQ V2 is like a mini-bundle, in that it contains two separate plugins which run in 4 modes: bx_dynEQ mono, bx_dynEQ multi-mono (5.1, 7.1 etc.), bx_dynEQ stereo (L/R) and bx_dynEQ M/S (M/S stereo). The M/S mode introduces our unique "cross-feed" M/S feature, which allows Mid & Side signals to actually trigger each other!
Dyn EQ, Digital V2 and Alpha compressor, are excellent tools. Top quality. They live in my projects together with stuff from UA, Slate, Sound toys, Eventide, Fabfilter Pro-q2. Also, Millenia NSEQ-2, SPL Transient designer, Vertigo VSM-3, Vertigo VSC-2, (I use them in the uad version) are extremely good.
