@ b0se is it possible to share the original file + settings so I could add the ApogeeFX Pulse to the list?

EDIT: I completely understand if you don't want to, as maintaining these types of online things careen into a time sink and major PITA. Appreciate your efforts with this so far

EDIT 2: I'm a dope. The original sweetwater shootout included links to the original files *PLUS* they tested the ApogeeFX Pulse! I'll go back and grab some coffee and wake up before I post again

Not particularly fond of drum esthetics like these, so it's probably not fair of me to judge which eq I like based on these clips, but still interesting, so thanks for doing this, b0se.

I think I like 4 the most. 6 is also nice. Then 1 and 3. Didn't care for 2 or 5. Least fave in this application was 7.

1 and 6 here as well. 1 sounds the most naturally balanced and clean with nice tight lows and nothing drawing undue attention to itself. Thanks for doing this. Please PM me.

The ApogeeFX Pulse was tested in the original Sweetwater shootout.

About these shootout tests in general: wouldn't it be cool to have a poll instead, not "guess the real one" - but "which one did I liked the best" I think that is way more interesting... Hope it means sense.

Doesn't really look like anybody's trying to guess the hardware they're just telling us what they like.

This is essentially a plugin comparison thread (there 6 included) which has a HW unit as a reference.

Don't let the thread title mislead you - have you actually read the replies? People are choosing their favourites, not trying to guess which is the HW.

Just listened again. It occurs to me that the differences are likely to be much more apparent with full resolution files as opposed to these MP3s. Would it be possible to access the original files?
