Nice! Now i dont feel so bad for ordering the bass first. Def going to be useful to me. No paraphonic. Just ganging the osc together which is awesome. And the third osc has the octave range which is perfect for sub osc. Even the internal seq seems useful! Cannot wait until the individual osc out mod. This thing s going to be a lot of fun.

Off topic, but Nick Batt looks more like Shrek everyday, amiright?

As far as the Bass vs Keys. So - the filter on the Bass is the 700S, confirmed. What about the Keys - also still the 700S filter, right? Some Youtube guys were indicating otherwise - or rather that the filter has been updated or modified somehow on the Keys. Can anyone confirm that?

i'm guessin the filter cutoff and resonance are digitaly controlled in the keys. that means automation, but steppier than the bass filter.

Makes sense cause you cannot midi control the filter or resonance of the bass but you can the keys.

A least i think so. The midi diagram is a little confusing.

Man I wasn't planning on getting the Bass but Mr Batt just sold me on it, I'm getting all 3.
I still can't believe the pricetag on these... I've paid more for a single eurorack oscillator than the combined price of three Volcas heh

actually, looking at all those videos i'm kind on concluding that for all the three volcas, the transparent knobs are digitaly controlled (so those are -or at least can be- midi mapped) and the black/grey ones are plain analog pots.

I see that they're hitting the shops even more now. Only the beats so far but readily available. Even package deals. What was all that about pre-order or miss out ? Pah !

I'm glad to see some love or the bass back in here, I love it for all the reasons Nick pointed out. The three independently sequence-able oscillators is really really cool! and it has a big sound.

Sorry about that, no it's just so much money for not a lot.
For that price i could nearly buy a Moog Sub Phatty for example.

Retailers are gonna be trying to cash in on the desire for the volcas. Just watch 'em. Like vultures !

My Beats turned up today, kinda bought it on a whim having pretty much talked myself out of it but first impressions are positive enough that I can feel myself eyeing things up for eBay to raise cash for the others. Dangerous things, these Volcas..

I certainly hope Korg continue down this road in future and if the sales come anywhere close to matching the anticipation I'm sure they will.

My volca just hit JFK! Yay! 2 more days until I LOCK MYSELF IN MY FACKING ROOM. I've spent about 2-3 grand this month on gear and I've been waiting till I got all the pieces to go to town. SOON. Got my Alesis 3630 in the mail today too, so that's going to be fun.

Have to say, that sonicstate review of the Bass did wet my appetite.
Still think I will wait a little longer to hear some more demos once people start getting them, but can see myself getting it at a later date.

These Volca's Keep appearing in small numbers. I just bought a Volca beats on ebay & had time to think it over first ! They're not quite like the hotcakes everyone said they would be....THEY'RE HERE !

Now i'll see for real if this cheap plastic box is worthwhile or not !
Will it sound like the lightweight i feared it would be or has it got a surprise to throw at me ?? Well, it's cheap so if i find it to be as bad as some of the demo's it'll at least make a good paperweight !

The Alesis 3630 is still a winner as far as i'm concerned. Cheap as you like & can really pack a punch.
I have two of them in a rack & use 'em for all sorts of sounds.I've looked at the 3660 & whilst i wouldn't say no to one of those i still prefer the look of the older one. Nice big knobs positive push switches. It's the simplicity i like.

My volca was delivered today!
Except not because I didn't hear the door.

Tomorrow I'm going to wait outside starting at 4AM with a shotgun.
The waiting is so I know I'll get it.
The shotgun is to blow the mailmans face off for not simply walking in the house giving me the volca and then making me a sandwich.

Didn't hear the mailman? I thought i suffered from the same thing. But the third time i missed a delivery from Thomann (ie three different orders) i started to get suspicious ... In the end it turned out the driver never stopped here at all. No wonder i had to go and pick up the package myself. An extra day of waiting
