What I can see happening is using an external sequencer (in my case, an EMX) to trigger note changes for the Volca sequence (something I do regularly w/ motion sequences in my R3), while keeping everything in sync.

And for the record, Volca Keys for me. Also, will have to add Volca to the computer's dictionary - keep getting red squiggly lines underneath.

And to save others the trouble (if already posted, apologies)...

I might end up switching to an emx if each osc is on a different channel or octave. I *think* on the emx each part can be assigned to the same midi channel and it could sequence polyphony using three of its parts.

Yep, you can do that on an EMX.

I used to do that to sequence my Blofeld from my EMX1.

Not something I've ever needed to do, but yes, you can assign each part to the same midi channel.

(I keep the manuals for all my gear in my computer at work - sad, I know, but it does come in handy at times like these.)

I dont know if this has been discussed but, does any one knows if the Bass machine can have the three oscs playing differents patterns/sequences? Would be awesome!

I'm hoping (at least from the demo's so far) it isn't a direct copy of an 808. I can also hear a KPR charactor to the sounds. I indeed hope it does sound different. Kind of dissapointed they didn't do a version of the classic Minipops JMJ stuttered fingersnap sound though :( ....but perhaps a different flavour version might appear later on, (like DDM110 & DDM 220 sort of thing). The Volca Bass doesn't sound like a 303 to me, and even more so the Volca keys. That one is fresh to my ears.

I'm not too fussed at all about the Korg announcement.
While they look like very nice, capable little boxes. They do look like toys to me. And to get the most out of them, you would have to buy all three.

What I'm gassing for is the Novation Bass Station II.

I'm pretty stoked by these! Might actually delete my original new studio setup idea and just get the trio, a mixer + some FX and see how far I can take such a minimal setup.

Why not get a Eurorack case and get a selection of filters to mangle your external hardware, Eurorack has just about every filter you can think of and more

For me Pamela's workout trigger out to volca beats sync in, then Headphone out to Manhattan Analog mix then that's the beats all tightly synced to my Eurorack all for £119.... Happy Days.....

I have had the UM-550 for well over 10 years. Even though it is a legacy product, still the last drivers available works fine with Win 7 64 bit Home Premium.

Korg is doing some great gear. Question... is there enough sonic differentiation between their stuff, or are they all produce that samey 'Korg' sound (which isn't bad, I just prefer variety).

Have you got both a Solaris and King Korg? And directly compared them to make such bold claims.

As for the Motif XS being better than a Kronos. You ought'a be smoking something real strong to say that.
