Kind of? The HD waves cut it to 24 voices (still pretty good). After hearing the difference in the raw saw waves, regular vs HD (I think it was Loopop, may have been Cuckoo), I'd probably start with the HD fairly often. Then again, it seems easy first to build a patch, and then flip through all the other carrier (or mod) waves to hear whether a switch to any of them would improve the patch. Sometimes an 8 bit wave will work better than HD, so it's not automatic that I'd reach for HD.

It just follows the algorithm you set. So if you have regular FM operator 2 going into filter FM operator 1, op 2 will filter FM the op 1 (and you can set the dry/wet level of modulator signal coming into the filter, too!). It's really quite straightforward.

modx is a wicked tool but it is not 200 euro more, modx6 is £1000 pretty much most places, the opsix is being found @ less then £700 already before any reduction and i bet a buyer can get it to 650 and below easily, so we are talking about 400 euro difference all said and done, that is a quite a lot

Red Means Recording video highlights how well OPsix is to making full tracks - much more so than Wavestate, which sounds pretty samey if used as the sole instrument. So having only one part here is a blow, but it is what it is.
