Behringer UV1 as channel strip/mic preamp

Hi, can i connect Behringer UV1 to my behringer umc1820 to use it as a mic preamp/channel strip?
Reason is that UV1 has all those controls like de-esser, compressor, etc.If yes, is it correct to connect it with xlr cable from UV1 out, to umc1820 front input?
I appreciate any help, i'm still learning about all these things.

What do you connect the UMC1820 to? Is it an interface, or does it connect to an interface?

Hi, The UMC1820 will be connected to pc, what gets me confused is that the UV1 is both a vocal processor and a audio interface.
I want to use the UV1 only as a vocal processor, and the umc1820 as audio interface.
Originally i wanted to get a DBX 286 S to use with the umc1820 but so many people complain that the units die after 1-2 years and i got the UV1 instead.

I hope i was more clear with what i'm trying to do this time. Thank you very much for you reply!

I would make the connection from the UV-1 to the 1820 with a TRS cable. The UV-1 has line level outs, either XLR or TRS. The 1820 has XLR or TRS connection for each input. Usually the TRS input is expecting a line level input, and the level and impedance is optimized for that. Do not patch the TRS plug into an input that is set up for a guitar/instrument.
