Some, yes, but if reflected wave has "smeared" delay by diffusion effects, this relection is
different (comb filter as well). Second reason is that we don't hear/analyze like microphone/fft, and it seems that we can easily differentiate reflections from smooth surfaces and from diffuse surfaces... second ones we can
ignore much easily. This is my explanation ... I had problem too ... to explain this to myself...
It is easier to try and hear, than to explain... we waste our time trying to explain each other strictly "theoretically" why something is "possible" or not... Even if you explain me successfully why some natural behavior is not possible, this still doesn't mean that described natural behavior doesn't exist (especially if it is mostly psychoacoustics)
