Hi there, my Nord Piano 2 (HA88) suddenly stopped booting properly.
When I power it on:
- The red lights flash briefly.
- The screen displays only a top row of small black blocks.
- The panel becomes unresponsive (no other lights).
- My computer (Mac) recognises the device via USB.
What I’ve tried:
- Nord Sound Manager (NSM) v9.14 detects the device but shows:“The OS version of the connected Nord Piano 2 is not supported.”
- Installing OS version 1.22, which is also the latest available online.
- Tried older NSM versions (v7.84) — same result: “Product not supported.”
- Attempted OS update using Nord OS Updater Tool — it gets stuck at “Waiting for reboot to complete.”
- Tried entering Update Mode (Shift + Store + power on) — same result.
Also:
I can’t do a factory restore in NSM — all menu options are greyed out.
This might be a corrupted OS, but without compatible software, I can’t proceed.
Hoping it’s not hardware-related, but I’ll escalate to a service center if needed.
