...little information I've seen the Weiss is meant to sound great though. The next best would probably be the TC Electronic Digital Konnekt x32, which would also do the job great and can be picked up in the UK for around $1300. Then there's the fireface 800, which I've seen 2nd hand for around $1100....

So far I have found: Mutec MC-4 (still in production, tiny) Otari FS-96 (common, cheap, total overkill) tc electronic Digital Konnekt x32 (uncommon, cheap) RME ADI-192 (uncommon, uncheap) I’m unclear on whether the RME ADI-8 DD can be made to do this with an AES loopback between the two halves. That’s at least more findable...
