The binaural should read -14 or below while also reading 1 dB TP maximum without limiting (best practice) or with very little limiting (1 dB) from the Renderer. If your Binaural goes louder than -1 dB TP and triggers the limiter you can either lower the whole mix level or address it within the mic by controlling dynamics of those channels/tracks, either beds or objects with "excessive" dynamic range.

Thanks for your message. So other than having a less dynamic mix, there is no way of manually trimming the fold down? 2.0 FD works and sounds good without clipping/limiting, so I don't see why the BIN should - certainly if there isn't an ability to manually adjust. Clearly they're being folded/rendered differently.
Just seems strange to me, for a format that's ultimately encouraging dynamic range and an end to end solution for deliverables - to not allow any form of control.
