By coincidence, I was cleaning out my music junk drawer this weekend and found a 'this is not a problem' ear plug holder from mercenary. I recall I was so clueless that I received those on mercenary orders for some months before I learned you could squeeze them and some earplugs would come out. Guess I had thought they where just keychain bobs.

Still using the API pre I got from Mercenary, little bit after you left I think…

Still applying the learnings I learned from you when I overdubbed bass for you on a track… insane business, the tracks were a mess and I was determined to save them. So I contributed a bass part that nailed down the VERY FRONT EDGE of what the drums were doing… and you told me it was just as much garbage but you told me WHY and that you'd had to slip it quite a bit later in time, but that some of it got used in the quagmire.

And that was the day I learned about laying stuff behind the click to make it fit

My sm57 modded by you back in the day is still capturing loud guitar speakers all day long every day, and I have not come across a better sounding 57! If only I could get my hands on another one......
