I have two hard drives on my computer. I save the songs on my D drive. What happens when I open the song, Cubase say it can't find the audio files and it has the C drive as the source to find them. I do a search and I start finding them on the C drive and not on the D drive with the project. I search preferences and project settings and cannot find where I can correct this.
Are you sure you are creating a new folder for every song you create. I have never had that problem with file management. Been close to 12 yrs and hundreds of songs.
Found the problem.........I think. In the Hub it has "use default location" on the bottom. I switched it to prompt for project location...hopefully that should work. What do you have your setting on?
1. IF you dont create a new folder for each project by having Cubase prompt you, ALL of your WAVE files will be in the Cubase default AUDIO folder on the C drive and I mean for EVERY project you do, MAJOR mess
2. I ONLY use the default location if Im trouble shooting and creating a project just to test things
3. Create a folder for every project, problem solved
