Notes broken Down in Cubase 13 Score

In the score editor, notes often seem to be randomly broken down into much smaller notes and then linked together with ties.

I’m already Display Quantising to 16th notes and don’t want to go any lower as this will hide smaller notes. I’ve also deselected Consolidate Rests, as this was making it even worse (though now I’m having a similar problem with rests being broken down…).

Is there a way to sort this out?

Randomly corrupted notes can really hinder your workflow! Consider checking any hidden settings that may affect how notes are displayed.
