As part of my lighting rig, i have 4 Chauvet 360 fixtures. They weight shit 30lbs each. I've hung them from the same kind of stands that you would use for trees (3 legged) but I've never felt comfortable with them. I hang them one each on 4 stands and I'm concerned that they'll topple over under the wrong circumstances.

What I'd like to find are stands made specifically for these kind of lights and, hopefully, crank to different heights so I'm not trying to climb ladders to hang them. All My other lights have crank up stands.

i saw some 4 legged stands with a platform on top that you strap the lights to but I'm not sure they can take the weight. They are listed as hydraulic stands. Does that mean i can set the lights on them and then work some control to lift them?

Any suggestions?

You want a stand like the Global ST132 at the very least, I have Penn-Elcom versions of the same stand that do a good job with heads that size.
