I'm considering purchasing a Soundelux U195 mic. I've been using it the last few days, and did a narration with it yesterday. I'm a female VO, and I did the narration with the mic in "fat" mode with the locut filter engaged. I love the sound, but it is picking up so much sub-sonic noise. The ISDN session I did yesterday asked me what was up, and when I switched from the fat to the normal mode the noise went away, but to my ears the sound wasn't as good. I can put a high-pass filter on the files, but I don't want to buy this mic if I have to constantly be tweaking it. Any suggestions either for this one or another that's good for VO in the same price range? Thanks.
