Hey, I have purchased a pair of NS10 studio (60-120watt peak). I already have a Yamaha a100 (the older one with white VU. 50+50w) but I think it is underpowered for them and expects -10db input level. I am looking for a power amp and found these:
Yamaha p2500 (cheapest but no VU meters and I am a meter fetishist)
Inkel m410 (this is 100+100w, maybe a little underpowered?)
Inkel m610
(Busting the bank and get) Yamaha pc2002m
Any thoughts? Will 100w have enough headroom to avoid blowing up tweeters?

NS10's are rated for 50watts, so 100watts will be plenty of headroom.

200w per channel seems to be the number to hit for transient response.
I Powered my NS10s with a Crown K1, 350 watts per ch. They kicked arss and never blew a speaker. If you nuke them with an 808 or punishing sub bass, they might fry. I think if someone is using them for rap or club music consider fusing them. The commercial studios I worked at always had them fused.
