Cool Joe, I was just trying to answer the guy's question. They certainly are different sounding and as you pointed out there's good reason for it.

No worries at all! And sorry if I came across like I was stating the obvious. I just wanted to make sure that future folks who stumble across this thread knew that the two mics were based on different archetypes.
