When people talk about "3D" on seemingly unrelated things, things not to do with 3 dimensions, I contend they actually are talking about (the illusory perception of) 3 dimensions, but nobody knows it.

Use the two channels in series on a mono source?

Or several stereo passes through it between tape machines on full mixes or groups?

I work on a lot of American - if it's more blues based they want it a little more "vintage sounding", but if it's more bluegrass, it need to be a more clear sound without any of the neveish haze(?) I almost lost a mix gig for getting the bluegrass group a little too vibey...the words the producer gave me was "it sounds too...gooey". Personally, I thought it sounded great and added some character to an otherwise boring bunch of songs LOL. But, lesson learned.

Since yours is a hardware clone and not software, for glow and sheen you need to polish and shine it to a mirror finish. And during use, put it under very bright and flattering lights.
For 3D, try putting it on some contraption that is in constant random motion. A Roomba might work.
