I can't speak to the problems you yourself may have had with buzzing noises, but the one I'm having, though subtle at first exampination, is not something I want layered into the background of 10 tracks all on top of each other. Just imagine, the guitars stop roaring, and while holding out on that final chord with the lovely sustain carrying forward, you suddenly hear a little "bzzzzzzzt" noise for a second, in the background... Or you might have three guitar parts layered together, and maybe you hear it on a couple of them... Do I want my mixer to have to worry about editing out a tiny buzz noise here and there, or do I want 100% of his focus and time devoted to making the best, most tastefully and beautifully mixed piece of music possible? I don't want one second of time wasted battling / being annoyed by a buzzing noise that will never completely go away, even if, yes, it is sort of quiet and in the background "most" of the time... Know what I mean?
I know what you mean. The only thing I can add to you. I mean the help I can do for you is the next:
Use good brand cables like Roland for the connection Use gold pins and Balanced when the connection is balanced and unbalanced when is the opossite. As I far as been investigating this a lot I mean since a few months really cause me some depression in somekind of way I get the information or the experience that the machines in my case are not the cause and the guitar none too. Cause I connect separately to the monitors and all make the same buzz that As I long my ear becomes more sensitive the more I hear it... So what can I say. For my instance I changed from home and the "issue" is here too. And I changed the cables and the issue is here too. I changed the power strip where I Plug in the electricity sockets and the buzzing remains. Really I dont know what it is. It can be, static, some kind of radio station... I dont know the only thing Is left to test is to connect a XLR cable... I use to have turntables with XLR and as i far as I remember they didin't buzz but this was a long time ago I mean My ear wasn't to sensitive at that moment.
The only thing I can say Is. For my side the unique thing to test is. XLR cables with a interfase audio but I cant find in my country uruguay... A interfase XLR and didint in internet too and it's to money for me that invest like 2000 usd in a interfase of audio for the moment for one thing I dont know if it goes to heal the buzz.
As I far as I know I think sometimes in the electricity of the home... Maybe the Earth cable in some kind of place have spiderweb or some kind of interference I dont know really what can be and WHO exactly will delete the buzz for complete. As as far as I know I read about one case and If I'm not wrong another case too and a few that guys that have a lot of money, I mean with the "" hig end "" equips and they have this issue too tried a lot and nothing solve it. If you find a solution Let me know and we can be talking by this way... The only thing I didint tried it is to use it a console with xlr connection as I far I didint bought one yet cause I connect all directly to the interfase. So I dont know what console buy too because I have to spend in one big one of 32 channels but I dont know who brand is better, because in a near future want to connect all to the console and not have a issue with having less channels of buying a one with less channels. I dont know what to do too because My idea is to connect directly from the console to the monitors by XLR but this will be and issue because I have some kind of mental issue of want to connect the console to the interfase and interfase to monitors cause I use the interfase for the moment for midi sequence. So The only thing really i can try by this moment is to use balanced cables i use unbalanced cause here i couldnt find balanced cables so are unbalanced but my machines and the guitar are unbalanced but the outputs of the interfase are balanced. I can hear more the buzz in my home because I have 1 synth access virus and electribe and the way I connect it is Electribe to and EXT in of the Virus who allows other machine pass throw him and the master outputs of the virus send the audio of other machines throw him and as a I long that device doesent have the gain high I have to increase the gain to get a decent volume and with this increase the buzz but its not guitar buzz its like hiss from tweeters and in this case i have in the menu for example of the virus Patch volume 25% and direct thru (where pases the electribe) at 100% and this make the thing more buzzing or hissing how you like to call it. As I far the only thing Will solve this issue will be a console but as I dont want to expend to times in a console because I can buy one of 8 channels for example and will be good for me and I will have one channel that I will have to connect and disconnect because of the guitar and outputs... but I want maybe in a future buy some rolands tr 909 or 808 dont want to invest in a little console that in the next I will be needing one more bigger so Sorry for letting you know my personal and mental problem hehehe the only thing Is the best for your solution and if you can tell me your problem better I maybe could help you if my capacities are Ok jeje...
btw it's a shame the price of roland tr-909 tr -808 I cant belive that the prices of this machines are way to hig are really really high cant pay that amount
