Moog Minitaur (Rev 2) by WooferVampire
First of all I would like to say WOW!!! This little module has what I expected from the slim phatty. I have already owned a slim phatty stage 2 and it stalled on me daily. I always had the newest firmware installed also so please don't think its my fault. The Minitaur has a few flaws in my mind but it does exactly what it should. CREATE HUGE BASSLINES!!! I only wished they had a variable waveform knob instead of a button. I like slowly switching between oscillators for an extremely growly sound It is almost capable of it if you use the mixer and set one of the oscillators to saw and the other to square and use the mixer to switch between both of them. Just a little more work. I also would have loved a sub oscillator but thats just getting greedy for $600 new
I give it 5 stars because it does what it is supposed to with authority and analog prowess. I recommend it to all that want to learn about synthesis.
The only down side is it is not a full blown 88 note synth, which some people expect. But it is not, it only plays up to c4 I beleive.
I say BUY IT!!!!!!
