We actually talked about a similar idea this morning! Interpolating between two points could definitely be interesting, but it’s still early days — we’re not sure yet if it’ll make it into the product or how it would fit without complicating the UI/UX.

What you described above kind of sounds like presets with a twist. Maybe there’s a way to distinguish between presets and points of interest since they potentially serve different purposes? Feels like something we need to sit with for a bit to see what really makes sense. If we do implement it, I’d want to be confident it’s solid and intuitive.

I just purchased a license for Topos via JRR Shop but all I got was a serial number. How can I upgrade my Topos Play to full version since there seems to be only an "import license file" -option available on the plugin's settings?

Since it turns out to be a rather fun plugin to feed into Topos, the Presets/ToneMaps page in the BlueCat PolyVibe is the closest thing I can think of to what you'd be trying to do.

I like Topos very much as it is quick, great sounding and intuitive. Will be a buy.

On the other hand: Visco with the blob thing is a turnoff, sorry. Who thought of that blob curving tool missed the mark here, give me straight knobs or sliders any day. It's really hard to use intuitively.

The idea is to sculpt it as you would 3D clay like ZBrush.

I've not used it, so I can't say how well executed it is, but at least they thought of a plugin that hasn't been done before. Got to applaud them for that.

Regarding Visco: I hear you! Our aim was to create a tool that humanizes technology and makes sound design more approachable, much like what we’ve done with Topos. That said, I understand that the current implementation might not resonate with everyone. We’ve received a number of thoughtful suggestions on how it could be improved, and I hope we’ll be able to address some of them in future updates.

Feel free to try it out! We basically do a winrar with Visco, i.e. nagware, so you can keep trying the full version forever if you're fine with the occasional countdown when you load it up

Yup, we expose all theme settings (with a tiny design system!) + .frag files for the blob, inside the theme folder

I've not come across .frag files before. A cursory search doesn't bring up much about them...

.frag are written in GLSL and part OpenGL/WebGL.

I’m not very experienced with shaders, so I don’t have much more insight to offer, but hopefully some of you will enjoy exploring it!

After more time with Topos I'm currently voting it the Coolest Plugin of 2025. Easy to use. Sounds really good. But mainly because of surprise textures I coax out of it in the maps section.

Really hoping for an overall output gain because Auto Gain doesn't seem to be assigned to the mix knob?
