Finished this Amp Builder's/Tech Chassis Stand this weekโฆRed Oak.
The next one will have a waterproof tray for a sponge, a breadboard, and a power outlet with on/off switch built in. I'll also try to get the arms to pivot 360 degrees and clamp to the chassis at some point.
Changed the direction of the grain on the guitar stands, thinking it looks better running horizontalโฆfinished these two up recently. Used up some reclaimed Wormy Chestnut rafters off an over-a-century old roof structure in North Carolina.
This is the latest solid sassafras Atlas Studio Amp Stand I built from a few weeks ago. I've been covered up lately and just now getting around to sharing. Its the same wood as the 1968 Ampeg that's sitting on it, just not been popped black, sanded back down and then stained English Chestnut. Originally I was going to keep it for myself and my Ampeg. It's gone to CA now.
Went with Walnut sides and a Butternut center piece here, kept the stock on this one as thick as possible. Somewhat rustic as well with some of the wane wood and wormholes.
Finally finished this solid Black Walnut Low Rider amp stand for a Mesa Boogie Mark V Combo after 11 weeks on the workbench. It took a while but was a true pleasure to build.
I offered up my Sherry for signing at a recent art exhibit. It's been, and still is, a great axe. The amplifier is my 60's Reverberocket II that I rebuilt with a C-Rex speaker to finish it out. It sounds awesome, much tighter with a hardwood cab and much more low end attack. Sassafras and Curly Maple.
This set of matching folding and adjustable keyboard and adjustable modular trumpet stand is on the way to San Fran this week! It's a pleasure when I'm asked by a fellow musician to build something I've never built before!
The leather work and wood bending on these stands was a lot of fun.
Designed these two chassis stands recently to clamp down on an amp chassis so it can be spun all the way around. Very pleased to be dialing in on the final design, it's come a long way.
The first of two walnut pedalboards I'm wrapping up this week. This one is 20 x 29 with a power source, switch, leather handle, two signal ins/outs and a jewel light power indicator that wires into the power supply.
It took me 9 weeks but I got 'em done. Soon to be headed to Australia are these two Low Riders with Table Tops, Guitar Stands and Adjustable Backrest Extensions. One is Curly Walnut and the other is Curly Maple.
Just finished up this low rider atlas amplifier stand with table top. I used reclaimed Wormy American Chestnut barn rafters this time to fit a Carol Ann OD3 amp head and a Hard Trucker Speaker cabinet.
In the meantime, just wrapped up this set of Paulownia guitar stands this week to match an amp stand we shipped out a few weeks ago. The should make for a nice music room!
