About Eventide, DigiTech and all other thirsty pedals. It seems that nowadays, when 3rd party power suppliers have covered all 9v 12v, and 18v, it seems the actual pedal manufacturers are just raising the current thing, in milliAmpere instead of voltage, so it should be impossible anyway to run anything on 3rd party power supplies. I mean, Eventide is at 1000 mA each, DigiTech 1400 mA, and not to say all these pedals with tubes in it. Maybe another thread, I know.
But if you should be an Eventide addictive, and run ALL of their four pedals at the same time, you'll be hard pressed to find any unit who can run them all at once. The 9v DC or AC would be nothing to deal with these days, but it's the mA that is crucial now. It seems to be raised with each generation of pedals. Formerly, you could not produce a pedal that run on 9v, it was the voltage you had to rise, in order for it to work. Now, today you can run most DSP chips at 9v but has to raise mA to "dangerous" levels. Its' almost that you could skip the m in mA, and list it in Amperes (A) instead!

I do not know of any Power supply that has a total of 4 A, which is required to run all Eventides at once, it seems. Of course, maybe it will, as it goes on and on. But it will turn out too huge, and expensive, and consist of fans and coolers as well.
