It is at least to my preference and barely change a thing if not for a db or so in the upper treble range giving the master a more open feel to it. It does sound a bit shy on the lower octaves also but that's quite a challenge to get right and I do go through hoops and loops to achieve something dynamic and present down there.
Sadly, it seems to fall apart on the loudness part of things. Using the Loud setting, it spew out a meager -13.4 db LUFS.
When Urban music genre is involved, this fall short by quite a bit.
The transient management is also well done and I can't ear any artifact during the limiting process.
Thank you for this detailed feedback! The loudness can indeed depend on several factors, including the input track's characteristics, genre/reference selection, and overall mix balance.
If you used the Hip-Hop genre with the 'Loud' preset, -13 LUFS is quite low. In our internal tests, these settings typically yield results between -9 and -10 LUFS for an average mix. Weβd be happy to investigate this furtherβif you could DM us your settings or, even better, email us with a short audio example, we can analyze the case.
This would help us understand what might be falling short, and we could even create a tailored smart reference for you. While most members and power users are satisfied with the current range of loudness presets, weβll definitely consider adding louder options if similar feedback arises for specific edge cases.
