It runs in the free Kontakt Player, so you don’t need to own Kontakt to be able use it. Very nice.

But as the video above shows, you can load its WAV files into any sampler. Great!

Nothing I can't already get from about a dozen other synths I have, including the Reason synths, Pigments, Falcon, Imagine, Noisy, Plasmonic, Vital, etc.

I haven't worked out if it is possible yet, to have 2 instruments loaded in the multi rack and have chords tool controlling one instrument and the phrases tool controlling the other.. that would make some nice rich sounding presets but i'm thinking that you may need 2 instances of kontakt to achieve this..?
The thing that would make Porphyra very useful would be some macros, have you thought of this in an update sometime?

That would indeed be very cool, but it is not possible on the Kontakt side at least yet. I know NI has additional plans for the Tools, and we will follow along, whatever they provide we will make use of in the next updates for sure!

no, it seems to need kontakt 8.. but works fine in the v8 free version/player .. which is quicker to load and has new tools.. btw a new update for kontakt 7 just released
