Awesome, at first i thought i’m not gonna need that (as i have just about every sim out there) now after watching the video i’m not sure haha, it captures quite a few old school vibes very well it seems.. off to demo it

I have never vibed with an amp sim—to the point where I just stopped trying—but this one is absolutely perfect for what I do. Yet another winner by Kazrog.

I've been reworking some old stuff (c. 2022 lol) and here is a song that definitely needed some help, guitar-wise. I have Airline on both guitars, fed into a verb aux with the Kit Chamber A. Totally digging this!

What happened to Recabinet and Thermionik?
Just curious, since I enjoyed them years ago.
I also just realized that I purchased KClip years ago, but it doesn't appear in my account, only the purchases from 2023 appear.

Thermionik and Recabinet have been discontinued, and the next generation of our amp modeling tech is built around the AmpCraft engine (which is in AmpCraft - 1992 and Airline V15.) We have many more amps, pedals, cabinets, FX, etc. coming to the lineup over time.

That said, if you own legacy products with us, you can still download them.

Well, on the plus side, this sounds great. Wonderful to see such a characterful amp that hasn't been done before. These gnarly vintage tones are right up my alley.

Unfortunately, I just tried the demo and CPU overloads are happening even with a 512 sample buffer with no oversampling and eco mode engaged. Having to play with a 1024 sample buffer makes this unusable for me.

If it helps, I'm in REAPER on Windows 11 and I have an Intel Core i7-10870H CPU @ 2.2GHz.

If the CPU usage is reduced, I would definitely buy it.

My only other quibble is the lack of vintage mic's for a vintage amp. M160, D19 etc. would be a lot more in keeping with the vibe for me.

Hmm, that shouldn't be the case at all. You should be able to comfortably run this at 2x oversampling and 128 samples/buffer. Less powerful machines can do this with this plugin (we have some in the lab.)

Oftentimes, what we find with low latency performance is that audio interfaces (and their drivers) can become a bottleneck. Open a support ticket and I can help you fine tune your system, or at least identify the source of the issue.

The AKG 414, Neumann U67, and Shure SM57 used in the factory IRs are all vintage examples.

The cabs sound good, I was just missing a bit of a more gritty 60s sound. I can always try it with other IRs.

At the default settings, Airline V15 seems very well behaved on my iMac, 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5. CPU usage seems very insignificant.

It can make some of my cheesy guitar plugins sound pretty good, more convincing and alive. And I would say better than the amp plugin I was using.

Tried it with my Focurite Solo, which isn't ideal because the DI isn't as good and the latency is higher. This time there was no stuttering or pops but the CPU overload popup wouldn't go away even at 512 sample buffer. Eco mode, no oversampling, just 1 track project.

without touching anything on the plugin settings wise, just default except turning the pedals off it's pretty much the same as Amplitube 5 (after the routing trick is applied)

It's no TH-U or TONEX, but it isn't that bad for me anyway, completely useable.

What's the routing trick?

Out of interest, what graphics card do you have in that machine? Is it desktop or laptop?

Mine is a laptop with RTX3080.

Just to keep this on topic, I hope Kazrog support sort me out because the fuzzed-out bloom of this amp sounds amazing. I haven't heard an amp sim that does what Airline V15 does.

Would you say that a Whole Lotta Love was put into modeling this amp?

When you start Amplitube 5, change the routing thing on the left hand side from single to double to triple then back to single and Amp5's CPU usage will drop by half.it may change back requiring the procedure to be repeated under certain circumstances, So just keep an eye on it, I haven't had it change back mid flight though. The above procedure really need only be single, double and back to single, but . . .

It's nothing special, and I don't actually know at the moment other than its an NVIDIA GT something, I'm on my tablet now, I'll check when I get back and update.

Oh, and it's a desktop.

There are no surprises here. This plugin is fantastic!

I tried it a lot on the electric bass in different musical genres. For the moment: pop, country and jazz. It immediately makes the bass powerful with fullness. You may need to attenuate the high frequencies a bit at times, but when that's what you're looking for, they're magnificent.

I especially waiting for the next Avalon emulations, but this Kazrog amp is worth trying!

We made the decision to release the "rare and cool" model first this year, before getting back to amps that have been emulated 1000 times (but in my view, have never been done justice) such as the Dual Rectifier and AC30.

There was indeed a lot of fine tuning that went into getting this model just right!

I'm sucker for a good amp sim. useful beyond just livening up bass DI.

Mixwave Benson was the closest imo, but this is even vibier, and more affordable.

Would like to see a wet/dry mix control cause this will have industrial applications beyond guitar and bass

edit: a little wiggy here too on an aging intel imac in Cubase. Sure they'll sort it.
