the neve setting with a bit of drive and a little push at 700hz gave some needed niceness to a tonex guitar sound that was a little dark sounding.. i like it, it's a thumbs up from me!

Yeah, the neve pre sounds amazing in this, and also the pentode tube.

Unfortuntaley this one really needs the Ultra switch to be on, and with that it uses 20% for an instance. Heavy. But it does sound really good. I'm starting to like this developer.

I bought it, why not.
Im not a fan at all of most of their AI stuff, it sounds weird to me.
I'm not sure if this one is AI but I have conflicting feelings about it.

On the one hand, I like the preamps. They sound good and emulate the natural compression of a good preamp nicely, as well as the frequency response (not to get sidetracked here, but another company that does this very well and at reasonable prices is Red Rock sound. Their API is killer and really sounds very much like a 2520 op amp - really freaking solid).

This sounds good - I think. The EQ is too inflexible to really be up my alley. But it has a strange sound to it. The delta of a source simply running through the plugin, with all settings completely disabled doesn't come anywhere close to nulling. Its a bit quieter, but there seems to be something weird going on in the high end. I need more testing to really find out whats going on - but the plugin, to me, does seem to have a strange phasey sound - and blending in (even just the preamp - I wouldnt normally blend min. phase eq) some of it with the dry signal really sounds odd. I need to see if they are using minimum phase OS filters or something like that.

Aliasing is low, especially with the OS enabled, there really is very minimal aliasing (which I appreciate), and although I like what they are doing, there is this kind of strange, phasey, glassy kind of weird hollow/thin sound that it can have, which is uniquely digital. It also seems to be optimized poorly in general with knob travel and glitchiness. Theres also an unlabeled button that literally unregisters your plugin automatically, requiring you to log in again online to resume usage - be careful not to press it accidentally as I did as it is a PITA.

This may sound like a rather scathing review but I dont intent it to, I think it has a lot of potential if he can sort out the weird issues, and and perhaps add a bell to the low frequencies.

The GUI is very pretty and does seem to be inspired quite heavily by the Vivid Mother 500 series EQ

It sounds phasey when you go overboard with it. Works nicely with UA´s new Verve plugin in tandem.

I got good results with it immediately when i tried it and couldn't resist adding it to the folder.

I thought I might use this instead of the APX, that i enjoyed the sound of, but had volume spikes and would crash Reaper. It appears to be a more versatile alternative.

Regarding the "phasey" thing, well i didn't want to hear it but now i think i can. There does appear to be a wide 360 phase sweep between 5-20k. I'm no scientist but this seems a bit much?
Another thing is their oversampling algo, which (tonally) acts like an air switch.
Never seen such a drastic eq change in an OS algo?

I do want to support Gaurav, he seems cool, and i have had good support. The plug ins do deliver instant gratification, but the (few) niggles leave me second guessing it a bit.

Obviously, the price is attractive, even when not on intro. But I WILL pay more if the quality is undeniably rock solid. EG. Mixwave CA-70S. And i would rather do that, then do the "Hornet" thing, i.e "you get what you pay for".

This EQ really has the ability to put something forward in a dense mix. Impressed.

I've not even tried it in action yet, but I've installed the demo, inserted it, and seen one single instance grab a significant bite into my cpu...

I always thought that Model 5000 was one of the best Tone Empire plugins. This one has a similar hybrid approach and indeed looks very promising. After first Testing it does really sound good, yet as already mentioned the Cpu usage is way to high and almost makes it unusable.

It seems like the CPU load is quite high, has anyone tested it?

This plugin likely utilizes AVX, a feature that ARM Macs do not possess. It is designed to enhance matrix calculations.

I've reported an extremely big bug with Valvekult 6 months ago. Still there.

Very nice eq and preamps, I love the idea of mixing 2 very famous types of eq but the Pre uses a lot of CPU. I can't use it on every channel.

I sent you two technical support emails no response. The plug-in drops out on export. Didn't realize this until after I bought it. But the lack of response this will be my last purchase.

The cpu usage is better. Still issues with clicks and pops in logic when bouncing in offline mode.
