OLLO Audio makes studio headphones for mixing and mastering. All models are specifically tuned, handbuilt on the edge of the Alps and come with 5-year limited warranty. Yes, expensive.
At OLLO Audio, research into flat sound is at the core of everything we do. Our design is based on science and user feedback, resulting in flat frequency response targets specifically made for mixing in headphones. We understand that this gets controversial quickly. That's why we invite you to open a thread and geek out with us. We're a friendly community ready to discuss all things audio!
The latest edition of our mixing headphones is now available worldwide. The S4X 1.3 and S5X 1.1 models come with a unit-specific calibration plugin which fine-tunes their frequency response to a tolerance of ~1dB from the flat-sounding target curve. It’s worth noting that these headphones are tuned flat out of the box and that the plugin simply calibrates every unit to perfection. You might be used to SW corrections that shift and change the sound of headphones quite dramatically. Well, that's not how we think about calibration, so don't expect any boost just to make you feel it's doing something.
Unit-specific calibration is a massive improvement over averaged or batch-level target curves that come with generic SW correction plugins achieving ~3dB.
We sometimes joke that only audio engineers can appreciate a flat line. But it's true, you do. That's why we dare to say you'll love our
flat,
boring,
indestructible,
iron-cold,
wood-warm,
aluminium-cool and
screwdriver and pliers serviceable headphones. If not, send them back in 90 days or a few days over - we're human, we get it.
For this first introduction of OLLO to Gearspace members we've lifted the limit on our endorsement program to accept double the number of applicants per day (if it's greyed out, the limit was reached). Get the right tools to help you achieve translation of your next hit song in spatial or stereo. If you can't hear it right, moving knobs will not help much with the cry baby problem. Proper engineers need proper tools. Period.
