Very cool, the resonance taming in the deesser sounds promising, always had to do that manually.

Thanks, I hope you'll like the de-esser. The separate Extract:Dialogue plug-in has been available in version 1.5 for a while, but the built-in tool (from the Enhancement menu) has been updated now.

undo / redo for the effects chain?

Great update of an already fantastic software. I relly like the transient tabbing, speeds up my editing quite a bit!

Unfortuantely, we haven't got yet the change logs up on the website after the update. If you're interested in the change log from v7.5.1 to v7.5.2, here are the changes:

• Fixed: Multilingual speech recognition doesn't work.
• Fixed: Added plug-in validation to Acoustica ARA plug-in on Mac.
• Fixed: DeEss:Dialogue is missing from add processor menu in Processing Chain.

seems a bit odd... should be part of the regular undo / redo, like every other daw / editor.

is there a reason it's not included?

The Processing Chain is global for all clips, so it doesn't really belong to the undo / redo stacks of the clip editor itself. Separate undo / redo buttons in the processing chain similar to how the undo / redo works in the plug-ins would make sense, though.

Great update, but my old ProTools HD 12.5.2 (Mac) blocked all plugins and offered to send them to "Unused" folder
ARA in StudioOne 6 now dragging onto an event with the alt modifier does not work (it ends up on the track, not on the event), you can only select the Event FX from the plugins list in the inspector.

Thanks and sorry to hear about the plug-ins. Unfortunately, the plug-ins that come with Acoustica 7.5 require at least macOS 10.13 and Pro Tools 12.8.3.

This sounds like issue in StudioOne 6. Did this start happening when upgrading Acoustica to v7.5 or when switching to StudioOne 6?

Regarding Studio One in the post above - I had this also happening with version 5 (latest).

Experiencedly, I found out that drag and drop works, but in this case not with Alt (as with all other plugins), but with Command.

Thanks for the information, I just returned the AAX package from the previous version 7.4.

By the way, I recently reported two bugs without any follow-up. One with the GUI going mad on Windows, and one with the tone generator. Were they sent properly?

there are two reasons i don't use this software anymore, although i've owned it for about a year...

the biggest reason is the transport control, or lack of it...

first, the transport cannot be controlled from a hardware controller... and second, the spacebar only works when the main window has the focus, so if i'm tweaking a plugin, the spacebar will not trigger the play button... only after clicking in the main window, will it work.

the second reason is random crashes from plugins... and mostly because the plugin chain is lost upon reboot, and using "save workspace" is a pia because it changes the default workspace and asks for a location each time... it is not designed to be used to save a project... to be able to save a project file is what is needed and is not available... i don't know about you guys, but i spend a lot of time tweaking plugins when mastering, and to have that all go away because the app crashed, is no fun.

so at this point, i use ableton for mastering and it works great... if it crashes, it will fully restore the session... and you can save the project without changing the default... like most normal audio apps.

to me, this app still needs a lot of work, including undo and redo for the processing chain section.

Sorry for the delay. Nils at support had a discussion with me yesterday regarding the test tone issue, and he wanted to test for himself before answering. I just checked for myself and there's no error in the tone generator. Acoustica doesn't use oversampling to detect inter-sample peaks when generating the waveform peaks (I don't think any software does). Hence, high frequency tones can appear to have amplitude modulation in the waveform visualization. However, the audio is correct and you'll also see the effect when zooming in to sample level so that Acoustica displays the proper band limited waveform. Regarding the GUI issue, you mean the problem with having the taskbar in "auto-hide" mode in Windows 11, right? I believe that is fixed in version 7.5 -- at least it works here.
