Got a good sound out of their bass suite that can likely replace my Sansamp but the guitar amps i've tried (mainly metal suite) sound like garbage to me. Unless I'm doing something wrong. I never got along with the old version either though.

Downloaded the updates. I was excited to try these out. I liked the previous version, but the new workflow and sounds had me very intrigued. Unfortunately, the plugins won't load - just get a black box. One attempt eventually loaded but then crashed. I'm on PC, Windows 10, Studio One 6 Pro. Guess I'll wait for the next update to try again.

Whats new soundwise here? Ain't it "just" a UI change and repackaging? I have Amp Room but rarely touches it, but ofc need to try it out

I can’t find the bass suite in Studio One V6. Downloaded it a bunch from the app. It stays in the uninstalled section of the app, I installed it at least 5 times. I found the installer on their website, that installs fine but won’t show up in S1 either. Played around with the plugin manager in S1, did rescans, restarted the pc (win 10) multiple times, no joy. Very unusual, Softube is one of the few companies I practically never have any issues with. I’m sure they will sort it soon enough.

Have you tried cranking the input going in? I hardly ever do high gain stuff myself but I’ve heard Amp Room likes a hot signal.

Load the normal amp room plugin.
Within that you find the suites.
You can change the view from traditional to suite mode.
I think it's well done.

Not just ui. They added some amps and stuff.
I like the update.

Most probably the open gl setting. Needs to be turned off.

I don't fully understand the best way to get everything Amp Room related.

I'm guessing if you already have Amp Room, you get the new stuff free. If you don't, you have to buy it all seperately?

Either way, very cool if you already had a licence.

Be nice if they included AAX-DSP support. Since right now the only AAX-DSP Guitar sim is Avid's Eleven.

I had already purchased all of the Marshall amps individually, and already own Amp Room. I guess I get the upgrade free, but they want me to pay $49 to upgrade to the Marshall suite. I wrote to Softube to figure out if the suite would offer me anything additional of value. I'm just not clear why the $49 cost since I already own all the Marshall stuff including the original cabinet pack as well.

I own everything seperately as well. Often Softube punishes seperate users compared to Volume. An Eventide style iLok system that gives you an upgrade price based on your currently owned licenses would be VERY welcome so that I don't often feel like an idiot that I have ~40 seperate licenses but no upgrade paths.

I got it. Its really good. Installed and loaded. No issues. They really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. That GUI design blows IKM AT5 out of the water. And AT5 is/was my fav amp sim suite.

Amp Room is made up of other amps than Marshall. I guess the $49 gives you all the other stuff. There are a lot of other amps in the vintage and bass suites.

This seems weird to me. I thought Amp Room was a nice improvement over the old system of having Vintage Amp Room, Metal Amp Room, and Bass Amp Room. Now we're back to the split. Also, I've bought every Marshall amp but one and I have the Marshall speaker pack also, but best price the site gives me on Marshall Amp Room is $99. I guess I'll just use what I have stand-alone, defeating the purpose of a room or suite entirely. (edit: incorrect! having some parts of Marshall Suite lets you select Marshall Suite and use whatcha got - and in Studio view, you have everything you've paid for, with all the routing and mixing capabilities you're used to with Amp Room!)

Incidentally I also can't get these Suites to install from the Softube installer despite trying repeatedly now, which has handled all other installations just fine, so not sure what's going on there. Someone said open them from inside Amp Room. Sorry to sound stupid, but how? (edit: even though it continues to read as Not Installed in the Softube Central app, they ARE in fact installed after installing them - you load them with the new version of Amp Room, not individually. Read bolded edits below for more details.)

Edit: For my system, the VST version of Amp Room was 100% not updated! But the VST3 version has the new stuff and loads with suite mode enabled in slot A, but regular amp room in Slot B, C, D. And, in its Marshall Suite, all my stuff is there, though not anything I don't have, including the default Marshall Suite cabinet - so that doesn't load right, have to go manually pick a different one, but it has all the cabs I got from the Marshall Cabinet Pack as well.

Not sure I like this workflow better than the old way to be honest, seems like there's a lot more clicking, but it is all fairly organized I suppose now.

I still can't figure out how to switch between standard and suite mode. This a RTFM problem or what? I figured there'd be an easily accessible setting or button to do that...

Edit 2: There IS such a button! It's up at the top of the screen, white text, last word after "Tuner" will be either "Suite" or "Studio" and that's how you easily and quickly switch between them. Sorry for not seeing that earlier, but I'm on a 4K screen and the only graphics that scale are the images for this software, that text is tiny for me! That same bar of text is where you can turn DTC on or off when using the Studio mode as well, a feature I was worried had been removed - all good!

Leaving the parts of the post where I was dumb because I have faith in humanity that I may not be the only dumbass out here and by gosh others can learn from my mistakes if nothing else.

Anyone knows (and can say) why their Eden WT800 plugin didn't make it in to Amp Room Bass Suite?

They said to pay the 50USD because there are 4 more cabinets and extra presets.
Not going to do it.

Wow... even if they do a nice free update they still manage to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Who is the idiod that bought all the individual Marshall amps and the cabs? ME! Thank you Softube!

They clearly knew this was going to happen.
It’s a nice GUI and workflow update, still needs MIDI implementation, and a good one.
I like Softube very much but as you said this is making me feel a bit angry.

I'm still just waiting for the JMP to hit $19 so I can get it too, since that's what I paid for the other non-signature ones individually. I don't care if it doesn't have the stock cabinets for the suite, don't care about the presets. I have used Amp Room software since the 2000s and in this whole time never loaded one preset. They want $99 for one amp, few cabs, and presets? I'm good on that.

Looking forward to digging into the sound later when I have free time, though, I've always thought Softube has a knack for amp modeling personally and I am eager to try the new stuff

Yeah. I get the same weird error. I think its a temporary glitch with the new AmpRoom and installer. But all the new AmpRoom stuff is indeed installed and works when launching new AmpRoom VST3. IIRC there was a blurb in the installer somewhere about AmpRoom and versions.

Whenever I try to open any of the new presets, the interface glitches and I get a loud continuous noise. It happens in Pro Tools and in Studio One. Also a couple of cabinets give me the error "Failed to load. Check license and installation."

did you launch ilok and activate properly?

It's all activated in iLok, and it's only the new presets (Amp Room category) that cause the issue. The other presets, albeit limited compared to what should be there, all work fine.

horrible here so far.. authorised ilok .. and cabs still wont load and i notice barely any presets included and very hard to make sense of the user interface at first look.. not a promising release so far
update- tried vst2 version.. it kind of just looks like the old version but does have the new presets list -which sadly just hard crash ableton when selecting any .. oh well, back to tonex for me

ooops- could be my bad.. just realized i had updated all my softube stuff- which took forever.. and forgot to install the new suites separately

I heard back from Softube...there are some new cabinets in the suite that may or may not be of interest to us who already own the bulk of the Marshall stuff. And new presets...that means nothing to me.

..it seems that the default loading preset contains a cab from the marshall suite?.. why on earth have that as the default loading preset??
