Just downloaded the "Kolin" and it sounds amazing!!!

It can get pretty pumpy and weird with some material. Would be nice if it had a built in highpass filter or at the very least an external sidechain input so we could ourselves filter the signal.

Also a wet/dry knob would benefit this thing a lot.

I decided to leave it as original. Just implemented attack and release to circuit. It's already very special unit and little bit complicated.

It's little pumpy cause attack and release times little longer than other compressors. Cause with faster attack and release times, it can squish the sound. Even kill...

Finally gave this some more time to test. Absolutely in love with the sound. I agree with bmanic, a sidechain highpass would be fantastic for less pumping on mix buss. Besides that WHOAH! This thing is really a monster of thickness. BTW; what are the demo limitations? Just so I know if I should dare to add to exsiting projects for more testing.

Really considering to buy it (just a little hestitant for the missing HP sidechain but let's see)

This compressor is and sounds as it looks.

P.S. In comparison to VariMoon, I have the impression that it is a bit thicker, bigger and rounder in the bottom end.
VariMoon enhances more and pushes the signal more to the front (in a nice musical way)...

I love the KOLIN limiter... I have it on drums and it sounds great but on my electric guitar track the vu meter doesn't work... anybody else have trouble with vu meter?

Haven't noticed anything like that? Is your input signal loud enough? I guessthe VU meter needs a certain amount of energy.

Like I said KOLIN works on my drum track, and yes, my input signal is plenty loud but no vu meter action on guitar track...

I had the VU meter die on Buster once. Not sure what caused it but I just deleted the instance and added a new plugin, then it worked again.

That sounds weird. What if you insert it in an empty project with a different source signal? Sometimes AO plugins go nuts if there is heavy DC offset in the signal or some other weirdness.

Did you try Yala on 2BUS?

yes, it can work but maybe a little too much for my taste.

but I think some people love the more forward type bus compression. Yala is really forward sounding.
