Has anyone tried these out yet?

I had 5 minutes with them at the office(i work in the same building as local distributor of HEDD) and I really liked them. I was amazed by the definition of bass of the TYPE 05(small thing with so good definition). All of the bandwidth seemd even and good detailed on both minimum and max levels. Not too harshy on ears, felt really comfortable listening to. The room i listened in was not treated too good though so I can't say much about spatials and soundscene. Thinkin bout buyin them anyway! The small ones seem like great solution to home studio when you don't have much space. Design is sick, builtquality is very good. Speakers are small yet woofer is like 6" with really broad spectrum of frequencies. Lookin forward for another reviews

My Adam A7's are headed for retirement.

type 05 has a 5" woofer accoridng to their website. 6" is the size of the basket (woofer + external enclosure..

It may be, i judged by the visuals. But sound fooled me too

they really go low and whats most important for me - low frenquecies play as good on the low volume just as on high volume. Anyway, they definetly worth a try. They dont sound neither as Adam or Eve, they got their own characteristic

ps. they made from unibody not plastic, it really looks dope

Yay!!! Exciting to actually hear some feedback from the real world. Thanks for sharing, Heraldo.

And just to clear things up: The cabinet is made of wood, which is coated with a rubber kind of lacquer.

I just set my HEDD 07's up in my mix room and was blown away by the sound. These 07's are serious. They seem to output an accurate but POWERFUL sub low end. The tweeter design is very easy to listen to and I hear things in mixes I did not hear before , especially 100HZ down as well. My mixes were changed overnight by these and I couldn't be more happy with them. I was hesitant about getting into the ( 2K ish $) range of monitors but, man I am NOT sure why I waited. SOOoo much better than my other monitors and the customer service is amazing. HOT PRODUCT FOR 2016!!!!!

Very impressed, got the Hedd 05 in the studio now. Tried out alot of modesl over the past week, and the hedd's stood well out above the other models I tried. Decided to keep the 05 instead of the 07. Dont take up the same size on the desk, and they sounded very much the same to my ears.

They are accurate, but also very musical. Easy to dream your self away in the sound, more people should dare to try them out if they are looking for replacement or upgrade.

That is a bit odd. I don’t get that at all in my room. (I do get a slight bump around 60, but that’s a known “feature” of my room and can be compensated for

, otherwise, the T7s are very neutral.

Guys, i dunno about what to choise. Now i have Adam A8X and thinking about change it on A77X, S2X, or Hedd 07 becaouse of lack mid freq on 8.5" A8X. What do u think is Hedd 07 compareble with S2X/A77X? or it just better than A7X, but no so good as S2X?

According to my previous post, were the russian website compares Type 07 to S2x, both have almost the same freq response, but reviewer declare different sonic propierties.

In the same website there is an analysis of the A8x. When they lower the highs and lows to the max (or around), the Adams get an almost linear freq response, did you tried this trick?

I couldn't believe how much sub I was hearing from these when I heard them. I was "that" guy who did the cliché "look for the sub" thing that monitor marketing guys like to claim at trade shows. They weren't set up well enough to actually judge them, but for $850 a pop, these are absolutely destroying their price bracket.

I just ordered a pair of Type 07's to upgrade from my longtime friends the KRK vxt 8's - they served me well, but I can tell it's time to move on as I've outgrown them for mixing and I want something more precise for mastering as well.

Jumping in blind based off reviews and webtalk, so I hope they gel with me when they arrive - but I have a very good feeling about the move, based on things I am currently unhappy with on the VXT's, that seem to be strengths on the Type 07's.

Non fatiguing imaging, clarity of bass & accurate top end, are all things calling me on - they also seem to be powerful, which is one thing I really like about the KRK's.

Just tip for anyone ordering from Canada - I went direct from Thomann Germany for a price of $1700 Canadian - If I would have bought from USA distributors, it would have been more like $2500 Canadian - a very big difference indeed.

Will report back once I get em in the studio.

Doc, I haven't spoken to you before, but I've seen in other threads that you are a big fan of the Focal CMS 50, which I also use and like quite a bit. Can you compare the HEDDs to your CMS? Would you (or anyone) have an idea whether the HEDD Type 05 would be much of a step up in terms of balance/imaging/clarity over the CMS 50?

I've been hearing a lot about the KH120 and now these HEDDs, though where I live, I have no chance to see whether they're truly a "step up" from my Focals.

Id move into the HEDD Type 05 in a heartbeat over my CMS-50's (which have been trusty studio monitors indeed!!) But honestly Im just going to move up to the HEDD Type 07's, b/c they really blew tons of wind up my shorts and I like them far more than my CMS-50,
At this price, you can't go wrong
