I've always been using a combination of Waves DeEsser, EQ or dynamic EQ to control sibilance or harshness on vocal tracks. The digital world has evolved so quickly lately and I didn't really had the time to check out the new options that have been released.
Have you guys tried a new plugin lately that really impressed you for that purpose?
Well, I went to download the Fabfilter Pro-DS demo and then remembered I had already bought it when it came out but never installed it! Thanks guys! I'm gonna re-install it again and give it a try!

Vacation? What's that? Sunday night, 23:21PM, mixing a song for a band from Hong Kong signed on Warner Music! I'm using Fabfilter Pro DS for this particular song which is the perfect test since Chinese vocals contains a lot of esses. Honestly, best DeEsser I ever tried!

Okayโฆ Well, I'm still using the Waves DeEsser almost always in wide mode on single vocals tracks or groups. I was on the Fab site and it seems the plugin can do more things than the Waves. I might have a look at it if run in problems say with uhmm, Chinese language or something, hahah. Thanks for the hint bro.
I just wanted to add to the comments here that I had some success using the Waves Kramer Master Tape de-esser preset to tame a sibilant vocal recently. It's a completely different tool than the FabFilter, obviously. But it worked for me.
