Anyone know of a Vst that can emulate the MicroKorg?

Or maybe something similar that you would recommend. I have Komplete 5, SampleTank 2, and all of the stuff that comes with Cubase 4 but nothing on either of those really catches my ear as what I am looking for.

I'm looking for some really intense yet poppy synth sounds to play with using my MIDI keyboard. =]

If you can't find the sounds you're looking for with Komplete 5, I suggest you learn more about it and how to program synthesizers. Between Massive, Absynth, Reaktor, and Pro-53, you can make any sound you want.

well I mainly don't like it because its a resource hog. And I get a lot of great sounds from it but none of them really act like the synths on the MicroKorg. I just want more options to play with.

Seriously, there is no MicroKorg replacement vst? I would think people would jump all over this thread.

it's called massive for a reason

The Microkorg has a very similar engine (stripped down) to the MS2000 which is a VA version of the classic MS20. Korg have a VST version of the MS20. You might like to try there.

But like these guys said - you can do much more with what you have.

korg has two sets: analog and digital legacy .
They are better than some of the NI stuff...

There are tons of Synth VST's to try just to get different flavors... i LOVE arturia... the ARP2600, CS80 and MOOG Modular are dope.... I like OMNIsphere obviously... Cakewalk's Rapture........ Pentagon.... I mean there are a few synths out there.... Sounds like you don't want the microkorg as much as you just want more synth options so there you go

I just got the Arturia V Collection for $200 on promo and it's very impressive. It's got your virtual-analog itch pretty much scratched whatever which way you like.

I can also recommend XILS and U-He as solid virtual analog kind of stuff. As well as the NI stuff you already have, especially Massive and Monark (very Moogy, quite spooky really).

Maybe something simple like AAS Ultra Analog would be quite comparable to a MicroKorg. Or something cheap and simple like Audio Damage Basic for basic subtractive patches.

You would have to think Sylenth1, and every other million awesome VST, could work as well. Tough question.

Why not jusT buy a microkorg. They are pretty cheap.

I find a lot of music makers are now wanting the sounds inside their DAWs. I've got my JD800 in bits because of the horrible 'red glue' situation. It would be less grief and more practical if I have a quality VST of it.
