seems to work stable on my pc using cubase 5.
i did not test it for too long, but the only "problem" i got so far is that
the plug in "steals" the keyboard input ... so if you hit i.e. the spacebar
cubase won't react until the project window is activated again ...
maybe you can fix that?

anyway ...most importantly "the glue" sounds great so far!!

I've got all the version numbers back in line, no changes to anything else so for mac people this is the same as the 1.0.4 build.

Trial limitations:
* No host parameters, you have to edit via the plugin gui
* No loading of presets, but you can save them
* Quiet noise
* One week trial period

getting mine tomorrow it really is a lovely compressor, simple and effective, job well done

okay so i did a quick and dirty test against an SSL buss compressor (the one that you can get for the SSL Mynx).


i tried to get the sound as close as possible and the levels as close as possible without being uber anal..

i'm sure someone somewhere will critique my testing methods, but i tried to use my ears more than anything..

I won't say which is which, but let's see what people like the most and whether or not they think theres a several thousand dollar difference.

Arfter playing with the Glue for over an hour I like it but Prefer the Duende Buss compressor.

Yes it does have that ssl punch!

The SSL Duende is wider and punchier more clarity the attack and release feel more right and the way it tightens everything up just works.

I prefer A big time.. it has a more rock solid bass attack, round and fat at the same time and musical to my ears then B. If A is Glue then woooooooow i'm loving it and will buy it for sure!!

b has more grit and depth and definition. Although they're very close

I like A better.

i have a similar bug
when i hit ENTER, instead of playing, it switches the Glue plugin from A to B, or B to A.

Good morning all! A few important bits of info for customers:

1) A big thanks to Derik White for him buying the first pre release copy ages ago and becoming a trusted tester before the copy protection was even done.

2) A big thanks to djanthonyw, who bought the first officially released copy.

3) Thanks to everyone who has already bought the glue, I will send everyone their custom builds today, in the order they were purchased, it will take me all day since I am still getting the distribution system in place.

Important note for trial users:

After I have finished sending all my paying customers their builds I will release a version of The Glue without noise. If you need to extend the trial period for whatever reason please email "support atsign cytomic dotsign com" outlining the reason for special treatment

FYI: the beta period will last > 1 week, it will last until I am happy every bug that I can possibly remove is gone before release.

Where can you buy this now? You have referenced your paying customers, but I haven't seen where to actually buy it. I downloaded the trial last night, and I really like it, but where do I send money? Do I have to wait for the beta period to end?

Play with the volumes with these two and see which one you like better. This is NOT "guess which one is the "The Glue" The noise can tell you that.

I prefer B...couldn't hear the noise but I've got little in ears in, or my hearing is mashed heh...something was more pleasin about B...

A few more posts and I will tell you what the other compressor is.

Ok then here is another post.. I'll say A is the plugin only cause I want it to be.

But I think A is hardware.

A - is punchier.

B - is softer, less attitude...

I don't know which is which but....

A sounds thicker and has more noise
B sounds transparent but still offers the punch

Both have punch but A sounds gooier which I like for this recording. I say A is analog?
