Two comps updated to 15.4 with no issue. Still testing what works and what does not as they are also very recent Sequoia installations on new hardware and a clean install on old. So far so good.
10.4 also fixed a constant crash I was getting with ADA. So happy days!
Having big issues with RME Digiface Dante Drivers as well. In short they donโt load via core audio and crash the DAW or system. Iโd be careful updating.
It may be isolated to this developer, who possibly did something in their codebase that was incorrect, inadvised, or deprecated, if this issue is just isolated to their plugins. Without knowing what the issue is, it's premature to speculate. It's possible that this developer doesn't yet know what the issue is, and when they do, may well publish more details if they believe it's a problem caused by Apple that should be addressed by them.
I haven't seen any other widespread reports of plugin issues generally (yet!), so assuming Apple messed up something isn't necessarily correct (much as people do like to jump on that particular bandwagon! ). I've also seen a bunch of people who updated to 15.4 and have experienced no plugin issues at all.

RME TotalMix > USB > Fireface UCX II
EZdrummer 3 + Roland V-Drums Driver > USB > Roland TD27
ProTools Studio v2024.10.2
Various Neural DSP standalone apps
Whole mess of DAW plugins
Thankfully I have no Sequoia-side issues/bugs to reportโฆyet
* knocks on wood *

I have a Roland TD-50X running into a Babyface Pro FS for tracking MIDI drums.
Are you going via the Roland USB instead of MIDI?
I thought the MIDI into RME was tighter and less jitter?
15.4.1 is out, seems a very minor update. I've been using 15.4 with no issues (my DAW is Logic Pro 11), so I reckon it should be an easy update.
Hmmm.
"Impact: Processing an audio stream in a maliciously crafted media file may result in code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on iOS."
Got things up and running over the past day or so. Fresh install of everything, no Rosetta. Got my UAD2 pcie OCTO card running as well. That was a bit of a PITA, but itโs working. Only done some light remixing of existing sessions - nothing new. But itโs almost all good. The annoying leftover stuff has to do with things like icons and aliases on the desktop.
