Hey folks. After using Macs and Audio MIDI Setup for 25+ years in a DAW context, I've run into something super simple that I can't seem to figure out.

I've recently picked up a Behringer Model D, and have been able to get all the routing set up to use it as expected in Cubase. But what I'd like to be able to do is be able to use it without opening the DAW, loading the project, and going through that whole stage. There must be some simple way to route the incoming MIDI from my NI Komplete keyboard to the Model D directly.

I'd have thought I could do it through the Audio MIDI setup and just draw the connectors between the two, but no dice. The devices are both online, but they seem to be bashful and aren't accepting each other's connection. The connection arrows on the Model D are both on the bottom, if that makes any difference, I've noticed that my external devices have theirs on top. Am I missing something obvious?

In the past I used midiox and a trial version of patchwork (standalone) but just stuck with a DAW in the end as it’s. It hard to set up and leave open in the background.
