Edit: Fixed! Found some software that was blocking the firmware updated file from running. After taking it off that list it works! Turns out it was one of those 3rd party devices I was using to have control over startups. Some reason by default it saw it as not important, and was turned off. This was my 32 but normal M-audio drivers. If you want to use it on 64bit above Mojave Google it, as someone made an Installer. However to use the 64bit version, you will have to uninstall the 32bit. Because it will want to default to 32 bit if it sees the old one. But yes, the Maudio drivers have a startup file that must be launched every time you turn the Mac on. Otherwise it will appear like itβs dead, even if use hub powered. It needs that startup file to be running! Through my findings searching the web, most of the time the fault of it not powering on was the Maudio.firmware startup file not loading. So if having issues where it wonβt even light up, look there first!
Hey mine worked on Mac Mini 2018 with original drivers. The 2x2, and then it just stopped? Iβve tried everything with the 32 bit and 64bit to get a light. Even reinstalled OS X original files. I have a clone copy of Mojave same as on my Mac Mini with a MacBook 2012. The light comes on and it works on that! I tried looking at corruption on an OSX level. But itβs as if something is blocking it on the Mac Mini 2018, but not the MacBook 2012 same OSX. Iβm at a loss as Iβve deleted driver files manually via GitHub instructions. And tried both the Maudio 32 bit, and New 64 bit.
It worked for a month on Mac Mini and then just stopped. Thought it was dead, but works in my MacBook with same build, practically a clone running same Mojave and apps. Very frustratingβ¦maybe itβs the T2 chip or something else?
The Mac Mini does work on my Apogee Rosetta midi din input/output, as well as other usb devices. But I need this midisport to use with an MS20 and Monopoly. Using a USB from the keyboards themselves have too much ground noise into my API pres. So I prefer the older din midi and midi sport. Rock solid and clean signal using this! Iβm also using a power USB hub, and have tried plugging the 2x2 directly in. It worked on the hub for 1-2 months, before it just stopped.
Any ideas here?
